This **Vehicular Fuel (CBG) Municipal Solid Waste Biogas Plant** utilizes high-solids anaerobic digestion based on the **Valorga-type pneumatically pulsed plug-flow** configuration. Source-segregated organic MSW (2535% total solids) is mechanically pretreated and conveyed via heavy-duty positive displacement piston pumps into a continuous, semicircular annular digester with a central dividing wall.

**Digester Flow Dynamics & Mixing:**

The material moves along a horizontal, plug-flow path without mechanical internal agitators. Mixing is driven by high-pressure, sequential biogas injection through floor-mounted pneumatic nozzles. These timed gas pulses keep high-viscosity solids suspended, prevent bottom sedimentation and surface crusting, and maximize contact between fresh substrate and active biomass.

**Thermal Regime & Biokinetics:**

Operating under an optimized **thermophilic regime (5055C)** via external heat exchangers, the system achieves accelerated hydrolysis, shortened hydraulic retention times (1822 days), and superior pathogen inactivation.

**Upgrading & Energy Recovery:**

Raw biogas is scrubbed of $H_2S$ and moisture, then upgraded via high-pressure **membrane separation or vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA)** to yield Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) containing $\ge 96\%\ CH_4$. The final biomethane is compressed to 250 bar for vehicular dispensing (Bio-CNG), while waste heat from plant utilities is recovered to maintain digester thermal equilibrium.
