This project highlights the specialized repair and restoration of a decanter centrifuge utilized in continuous operations at a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). Decanter centrifuges are critical for sludge dewatering, and their continuous runtime subjects them to high wear, erosion, and mechanical fatigue.

The repair scope for this trial STP decanter included:

* **Inspection & Balancing**: Comprehensive inspection and dynamic balancing of the bowl and scroll conveyor to minimize operational vibration.

* **Wear Protection**: Hard-facing of the conveyor flights with tungsten carbide tiles to restore wear resistance.

* **Seals & Bearings**: Replacement of main bearings, seals, and gaskets to prevent process fluid leakage.

* **Gearbox Refurbishment**: Inspection and refurbishment of the planetary gearbox to ensure precise speed differential control.

Following assembly, the centrifuge underwent spin testing to validate mechanical integrity under load. This trial restoration ensures optimal solid-liquid separation efficiency and extends the operational lifespan of critical wastewater treatment infrastructure.
