This turnkey **Bio-CNG (CBG) facility** processes source-segregated Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste (OFMSW) into automotive-grade biomethane via high-rate anaerobic digestion.

**Digester Flow Dynamics & Mixing:**

Operating as a hybrid high-solids continuous plug-flow system with an integrated floating drum, the digester utilizes **percolate recirculation** through an automated sprinkler manifold. The downward percolation of active leachate wets the incoming solid matrix, rapidly inoculates fresh waste, and buffers volatile fatty acid (VFA) accumulation. Submerged mechanical agitators and high-torque feeding augers prevent stratification, crusting, and dead zones while maintaining hydraulic retention time (HRT).

**Thermal Regime & Process Control:**

The facility maintains a strict **mesophilic regime (37C40C)**, monitored via internal thermal probes and regulated using shell-and-tube or internal jacketed heat exchangers supplied by process waste heat.

**Biogas Upgrading & Energy Recovery:**

Raw biogas collects under the variable-volume floating drum gasholder, providing transient pressure buffering. Crude gas is pre-treated for moisture and $\text{H}_2\text{S}$ abatement before entering a vacuum/pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) or multi-stage membrane separation unit to scrub $\text{CO}_2$, yielding **$\ge 90\%\text{ CH}_4$** Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) meeting IS 16087 / vehicular fuel standards. A high-pressure compressor (250 bar) dispenses the CBG to cascade storage, while high-efficiency screw presses dewater the digestate to generate nutrient-rich solid bio-fertilizer and recyclable liquid percolate.
