This state-of-the-art waste-to-energy facility converts high-solids municipal sewage sludge and organic fractions into bioenergy and pathogen-free organic fertilizer. Configured as reinforced, gastight modular concrete garage tunnels, the system operates as a dry batch plug-flow anaerobic digester handling total solids (TS) of 2035%.

* **Digester Flow Dynamics & Feeding:** Dewatered sludge is blended with structured bulking agents and inoculated digestate, then batch-loaded into the tunnel via front-end loaders. Flow dynamics follow a static, sequential plug-flow regime where gas and liquid transport occur through percolation.

* **Mechanical Handling & Mixing:** The system eliminates mechanical mixers inside the vessel. Instead, process mixing and mass transfer are driven by an automated leachate percolation system that sprays heated, conditioned liquid over the biomass bed, complemented by periodic biogas recirculation.

* **Thermal Regime:** Operating under strict thermophilic conditions (52C55C), embedded hydronic underfloor and wall heating circuits ensure uniform thermal distribution. This regime accelerates biological kinetics, maximizes volatile solids breakdown, and achieves complete pathogen inactivation compliant with Class-A biosolid fertilizer standards.

* **Energy Recovery:** Biogas generated is desulfurized, dehumidified, and directed to a combined heat and power (CHP) unit or biomethane upgrading train, yielding high-efficiency electrical and thermal energy recovery while supplying parasitic process heat.
