The **Commissioning Thermal Energy Dairy Manure Covered Lagoon Scrubber-Integrated Biomethane Plant** utilizes an engineered high-density polyethylene (HDPE) covered anaerobic lagoon operating under a continuous plug-flow regime with extended hydraulic retention times (3545 days). Raw dairy manure slurry (69% total solids) undergoes preliminary solid-liquid separation and grit removal before progressive cavity pumps mechanically feed the digester. Internal flow dynamics rely on low-shear, submerged mechanical propeller mixers and localized biogas recirculation lances positioned strategically along the basin to prevent thermal stratification, crusting, and bottom sediment deposition without disrupting active anaerobic consortia.

Thermal management sustains a controlled mesophilic regime (3740C) using modular, sub-surface heat-exchange piping loops energized by auxiliary thermal recovery units. The captured raw biogas is routed through an integrated chemical/water scrubber system configured with packed-bed biological desulfurization (HS removal) and membrane permeation to upgrade the gas to pipeline-spec biomethane (>97% CH). Thermal and energy recovery is achieved via high-efficiency combined heat and power (CHP) cogeneration, recycling engine jacket water and exhaust waste heat back to digester loop circuits while exporting surplus biomethane to the distribution grid.
